Roads and Sustainable Development

According to data from the PUDC – Community Development Emergency Programme, collected between 2015 and July 2023, 827kms of rural roads were opened to traffic, thereby improving the mobility of over 410,000 people in 790 villages. 

𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮, together with its subsidiary 𝗥𝗖 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹, has already set the initial stage for the start of work to build an additional 118 km of rural roads in various areas of Senegal. Work is currently underway in Ross Bethio (Saint-Louis) and Mont-Roland (Thiès).

𝗣𝗨𝗗𝗖 plays a crucial role in the development of rural entrepreneurship, contributing to improved mobility and rural people’s access to basic social services through the establishment of socio-economic infrastructures.
