Coimbra Municipal Athletics Track ready for high performance training

The Coimbra Municipal Athletics Track has already been inaugurated. The rehabilitation project of this sports infrastructure provided it with adequate conditions for the practice of sports in accordance with national and international standards, and the track is now certified to host official competitions and high-performance training. The project lasted just over a year.

The track now also has the “rekortan smartrack” technology, a first for Portugal, which will allow the measurement of the athletes’ performances through sensors and analysis via smartphones.

It should be remembered that CM Coimbra advanced with the contract for the rehabilitation of the athletics track at the Municipal Stadium Cidade de Coimbra, which was in a high state of degradation, with anomalies in terms of coating and drainage.
